Heineken VK has the complete genetic package. His sire Zirocco Blue combines the best of both Dutch and French breeding and was among world’s best show jumpers with his rider Jur Vrieling. In breeding, Zirocco Blue’s offspring have made their breakthrough at international Grand Prix-level. Several examples are Donjo, Durango VDL, Deep Blue Bridge, Dazermie and Dirocco D. Zirocco Blue was awarded with the prestigious ‘Keur’ predicate by the KWPN. Grandsire Rebel II Z was not only a valuable sire himself, but he is also the full-brother of the legendary mare Ratina Z. Foundation sires Ramiro, Jasper and Farn stood at the basis of the pedigree of Heineken VK .
Heineken VK’s dam line is one to dream of; dam Regina Adelheid Z jumped herself at 1.35m level and produced numerous international show jumpers. Her son Regino jumped at Grand Prix-level with Camilla Enemark and was approved by both the KWPN and Zangersheide. Additionally, Regina also produced the 1.50m-showjumper Alme Adelheid Z. Heineken’s grand dam Jasperina jumped herself at 1.50m-level and great-grand dam Gracina performed at 1.40m-level, which makes the pedigree of Heineken VK even stronger.
As a 4 year old, Heineken VK impressed at the Dutch Championship for 4-year-olds and showed off his excellent technique and scope. In the KWPN stallion test he made a very good impression again and was approved with a score of 80 points. His reflexes and technique were rewarded with a 9 and an 8.5. In the Dutch Championship for 5-year old jumpers he finished in 11th place and also in the stallion competition he placed many times: 5th in Ermelo, 7th in De Peelbergen and again 5th in Zuidbroek. Heineken VK continues to impress with his great jumping technique.
