Our rider James Billington has made the choice to end his work for the VDL Stud and to continue his career as a show jumping rider in the USA. The fact that James stops working for the VDL Stud does not mean that the collaboration with James will end, we hope to be able to do a lot for each other in the future. James was associated with our company for 10 years and has successfully trained and released several horses in the sport. James is a very skilled rider and we are very grateful to James for his commitment, dedication and friendship over the past 10 years. We wish him all the success with this new step in his career.
James' job is taken over by another Englishman; Alex David Gill. The 23-year-old rider is no stranger to us. Two years ago he rode for Stal Marcel de Boer and here he already rode a number of VDL stallions such as Grand Slam VDL, Inaico VDL and Comthago VDL. After having worked for some time at Stal Houtzager-Kayser, Alex David Gill now joins us at VDL Stud to take over the reins from James.
