Some children have to travel long distances to get the medical attention they need. In-hospital treatment may last one day, one year, or even longer. For the families of these children, accommodations can be hard to come by; options are often limited to costly hotels or unforgiving hospital chairs and benches.The Ronald McDonald House provides a comfortable, supportive alternative for  families of seriously ill children  who are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals.

The Ronald McDonald foundation is building a house in Leeuwarden, VDL Stud will support this project. During the Stallionshow there will be a collection for the foundation. You'll find collection boxes at the several coffee-bars at the show. Coffee and drinks are free during the show, but we will appreciate it if you would make a donation! 

Ronald McDonald kinderfonds

In een Ronald McDonald Huis kunnen ouders en familieleden van ernstig zieke kinderen verblijven. Zo bevinden ze zich op loopafstand van het kind in het ziekenhuis zodat ze als gezin dicht bij elkaar kunnen zijn en steun kunnen vinden bij andere gezinnen in dezelfde situatie. Momenteel bouwt het Ronald MC Donald kinderfonds een tehuis in Leeuwarden. De VDL Stud ondersteunt dit project. Tijdens de hengstenshow zal er een collectie voor het fonds zijn. U zult collectiebussen vinden op de verschillende bars. Koffie en fris is tijdens de show gratis verkrijgbaar, de familie van de Lageweg waardeert een donatie van u voor het fonds van harte!
