VDL Clapton (Caretino x Landgraf I) and Dennis van Tilburg were the winners of the Dagblad van Het Noorden Trophy, a National competiton at 1.30 m level at the International Horse Show of Zuidlaren. VDL Clapton won the Drenthe Cup on Wednesday and was also winner of the final on Thursday. This made them winner of the Dagblad van het Noorden Trophy. The approved stallion VDL Sydney (Goodtimes x Alasca), ridden by Marcel de Boer, became 7th in this final.

Dennis van Tilburg was also succesfull in the 1.35 m class of this Trophy with VDL Rina BD. This daughter of VDL Indorado was 10th in the Drenthe Cup on Wednesday and was 3rd in the final on Saturday.

In the 1.20 m class were a lot of offsprings by VDL Corland placed. In the Drenthe Cup on Wednesday there were the following results:
2nd place:  Hentenaar's Rixta (by Corland), ridden by Marcel de Boer;
4th place:   TSP Sensation (by Corland), ridden by Suzanne Tepper;
7th place:   Redbull (by Indoctro), ridden by Nathalie van der Mei;
9th place:   VDL Torlando (by Corland), ridden by Dennis van Tilburg;
10th place: Heechiem's Tersina (by Corland0, ridden by Jeanette van der Meer;
11th place: Sicarla (by Corland), ridden by Mireille Schroder.

The final on Saturday was won by TSP Sensation, ridden by Suzanne Tepper, Redbull received the 3rd place, Heechiem's Tersina was 4th, Sicarla received the 6th place and VDL Torlando was on the 7th place.
