The highest priced horse in the Elite auction of Brightwell in the United Kingdom was Zapatero's 3 years old son: Zaphir. The stallion was sold in the auction for  31.000  GBP. Zaphir is bred in Holland by C.J. Klok from Diever.  Several offspring of VDL stallions were sold for good prices in this auction. Among them Fabian (Wittinger x Darnels), bred by Fam. Borghuis from Beuningen, who got sold for 16.500 GBP and  Fiorello (Silverstone x Celando). He was sold for  13.500 GBP to the international showjumper Tim Stockdale.
