Carisma (Cardento x Maraton) and rider Danielle Goldstein were placed as second in the Grand Prix during CSI Wellington. Woklahoma (Sheraton x Calvados) ridden by Roberto Teran Tafur were placed as tenth in this Grand Prix.

Azibantos (Chin Chin x Cantos) and Mclain Ward were placed as sixth in a 1.45m competition. Geoffrey Case bought Azibantos as a young horse from the VDL Stud.

In this competition there were other placings for offspring of VDL Stallions:
2nd: Welfare (Pacific x Zortin) and Andrew Ramsay. They were also placed as second a different 1.45m. competition.
3rd: Balance (Cantos x Peter Pan) and Lillie Keenan
5th: Cyklon (Cardento x Cortus) and Shane Sweetnam

In the  Suncast Classic, a 1.50m competition ,  Vatson Sitte (Cardento x Chellano Z), ridden by  Marie Hecart placed 4th.
