BEDIZZOLE – Impressive international results for the offspring of VDL stallions at the CSI3 at Borgo La Caccia in Bedizzole, Italy. Charming Dream Z (by Carrera) jumped to third place in the 1.50m Grand Prix, closely followed by the Zirocco Blue offspring Zenith vd Donkhoeve Z. Earlier in the weekend, Just A Dream (by Zirocco Blue) had already secured a victory.*
Charming Dream Z (by Carrera) put in a strong performance under Irish rider Niall Talbot in the 1.50m CSI3* Grand Prix. The pair rode a clear round in the basic course, thereby qualifying for the jump-off. They went clear in the jump-off too. With a clear round in 41.77 seconds, Charming Dream Z and Talbot finished in a fine third place. The Carrera son was bred by L.H.M. Sneijers.
Right behind them, Zenith vd Donkhoeve Z (by Zirocco Blue) finished fourth, meaning two offspring of VDL stallions managed to place in the top four of the Grand Prix. The Zirocco Blue offspring, bred by De Donk, also rode clear in the jump-off with Cian O’Connor in a time of 42.59 seconds.
Earlier in the weekend, there was further success for a Zirocco Blue offspring. Just A Dream (by Zirocco Blue) won the 1.35m class for young horses under Italian rider Stefano Nogara. The pair rode clear and clocked a winning time of 57.14 seconds. Just A Dream was bred by the Nooren family and also managed to finish in 3rd place on Sunday.
