Comthago convincingly wins the 3* 1.55m Grand Prix of Ommen. With Hessel Hoekstra, the approved stallion  stayed also clear in the jump-off and set the fastest time. Comthago is bred by W. Kochs and is now approved by KWPN, SF, Hannover, Mecklenburg, Zangersheide and AES. Third place went to Zirocco Blue son Jurry Bleu K, bred by A.H. Kleinlugtenbeld vd Berg. With Alexander Butler, they too managed to stay clear in the jump-off.

Earlier in the day there was also success for Hessel Hoekstra in the Grand Prix of the 1*. This time he finished fifth with VDL Helena van Perbeemd bred by D. Vermeiren. 

VDL Legodermus PP (by Harley) also proved to be in form with Hessel Hoekstra. The duo managed to secure no less than two second places in the 1.40m class and another 10th place. The Harley son is bred by H. Poppelaars.

There was even more success for a Harley son, as Narcotique v/h Dingenshof (by Harley) managed to win the 1.50m on Thursday with Simon McCarthy. Meanwhile, the Harley bred by Jaak Vermeulen has already won more than €220,000 in prize money.

Jignipes Eickenrode (by Zirocco Blue) showed he was in top form with Dennis van den Brink. The duo managed to win the 1.45m class on Friday, a nice second place on Thursday and 10th on Saturday. The Zirocco Blue son is bred by J. van de Waaij. The victory on Thursday went to Kylie VJ (by Freeman) with Kevin Jochems. The Freeman daughter is bred by J. Veldman and also managed a 4th place.
 
Besides all the wins, there were other successes, such as:

• 3* 1.45m: 2nd place; Shanroe Barney (by Dallas) with Hansel Chen, bred by G. Drain
• 3* 1.45m: 3rd place; Lacoste VDL (by Zirocco Blue) with Alex David Gill, bred by VDL Stud
• 3* 1.45m: 3rd place; Lena VDL (by Carrera) with Daniel Coyle, bred by VDL Stud
• 3* 1.40m: 3rd place; Indence H.J. (by Falaise de Muze) with Finn Boerekamp, bred by H. Jacobs
• 3* 1.40m: 4th place; Indence H.J. (by Falaise de Muze) with Finn Boerekamp, bred by H. Jacobs
• 3* 1.45m: 6th place; Lacoste VDL (by Zirocco Blue) with Alex David Gill, bred by VDL Stud
• 3* 1.45m: 7th place; Kensington W (. Zirocco Blue) with Finn Boerekamp, bred by J.W. van Wessel
• 3* 1.45m: 7th place; Kensington W (. Zirocco Blue) with Finn Boerekamp, bred by J.W. van Wessel
