BRIDGEHAMPTON - Eddie Blue (VDL Zirocco Blue x Marlon) finished a fantastic third in the CSI5* 1.55m-Grand Prix of Bridgehampton, NY (USA) under Devin Ryan.

Besides Eddie Blue several other offspring of the VDL stallions were very successful in the USA and Canada during the past week.
In Bridgehampton, home base of The Hampton Classic Horse Show, Jelster Van Stal Romano (VDL Zirocco Blue x Jackson, breeder: C.J. Schetters - Stal Romano) won the 1.40m with rider Gracie Allen (USA).
In Traverse City Inajottie WB (Carrera VDL x Indoctro) and Samantha Alexis Mackenzie finished 5th in the 1.50m-Grand Prix. In the $37,000 CSI3* Speed class they finished sixth. Stoeterij Heechhiem bred the nine-year-old Inajottie.
Sigismund (Comfortuna VDL x VDL Cardento) and Anna Beth Athey (USA) won the 1.30m class for seven-year-olds in Traverse City and finished third once. Sigismund saw the light of day in 2015 at the stables of Anna Holmgren.
Fabrice DN (Emilion x Baloubet du Rouet) and Matthew Sampson (GBR) won the CSI5* competition over 1.50m in Spruce Meadows (CAN) in superb fashion. Fabrice DN was bred by D. Noordhuis in Wijster (NED).
Narcotique van het Dingenshof (Harley VDL x Chacco-Blue), ridden by Erynn Ballard (CAN), finished 5th. Jaak Vermeulen (NED) bred the 9-year-old bay mare.
