Plettenberg Bay, 20 July 2025 — During an exciting final of the Callaho Stud World Cup Qualifier over 1.55m on Sunday in Plettenberg Bay, Amy Michau made history by claiming victory with her top horse Go To Blue (by Zirocco Blue). The pair completed a clear round in an impressive time, relegating the competition to the remaining podium places.
The competition, which was the fourth qualifier in the South African World Cup cycle, attracted some of the country's best riders. Michau and Go To Blue impressed with their rhythm, precision and confidence, proving that they belong at the very top of South Africa. The Zirocco Blue-son is bred by H.J.M. Dekkers.
The victory not only means important points in the World Cup ranking, but also strengthens Michau's position towards the final later this season. The rider was grateful afterwards: ‘Go To Blue jumped fantastically today. He felt sharp and focused from the start. This victory is the result of hard work by our entire team.’
