The competition started with the 1.10m finals. In this class Cohinoor VDL, ridden by James Billington placed 3^rd in the total standings and there was a 5^th place for Hampshire VDL, ridden by Lennard de Boer. Both stallions jumped nice clear rounds and were qualified for the jump-off. In the jump-off Hampshire VDL made a very fast time which was good for 2^nd place of the day final.

Global Express VDL and Grand Slam VDL, both ridden by Lennard de Boer, made clear rounds in the 1.20m class. With a fantastic jump-off Global Express finished in 2^nd place in the day competition and also he was 2^nd in the total standings of the Stallioncompetition. Grand Slam made a clear round in the jump-off as well and finished in 4^th place in the total standings of the competition.

 In the 1.30m/1.35m class Freeman VDL and Jur Vrieling qualified with an impressive clear round for the jump-off. In the total standings of the competition he placed 2^nd.
