Despite the extreme warmth, the one and a half month old foal O Look at Me (by Carrera VDL) managed to present itself beautifully at the Central Inspection of Drenthe. O Look at Me, bred by Gerrit-Jan Lucas from new Schoonebeek, became champion!
"An appealing foal with a nice front in it. He runs and gallops very lightly with a good balance," said jury chairman Loeffen.
Odily (Harley VDL x Indoctro, breeder Stal Eursing in Beilen) came in a nice second place. The jury explained:
"An appealing riding type foal with a strong top line, good in the connections. He gallops lightly with a good use of the hindleg and has a nice front."
Also placed for the national foal inspection was Orenchidee (Glenfiddich x Emilion), this fine foal was bred by Derk Noordhuis from Wijster.
