Last Saturday, the annual KWPN inspection of the YoungKWPN took place. Here, Roqaya Turfhorst (by Zirocco Blue) and Umilia du Jars (by Carrera) were victorious in the jumping mares and foals.
In the 3-year old jumping mares, the Zirocco Blue daughter Roqaya Turfhorst bred by VDL Stud convinced the jury with 80 points for conformation and 85 points for jumping. With this, she is declared "Voorlopig Keur" and received an invitation to the National Mare Show. The judges described her as follows: "An appealing, well modelled and long-lined mare with real mare expression and lots of charisma. Her high withers continue well in the back. She also had a correct foundation. She really has an athletic body and shows a lot of athletic ability in jumping.
In the championship of showjumping foals, the victory went to the filly Umilia du Jars (by Carrera). "An appealing and long-lined filly, with a remarkably good canter. Along with it a very athletic ability". The Carrera daughter is bred by R. Snippe and is out of the mare Louis-Lena (by Arezzo).
