GENEVE - With two fantastic clear rounds,
VDL Edgar M (Arezzo VDL x Marlon) under Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) jumped to victory in the CSI5* competition over 1.60m in Geneva (SUI).
VDL Edgar M, who was bred by E. & M. Meijer (NED), strung together successes last year under Zanotelli:
- second in the CSI5*-W World Cup competition over 1.60m in Lyon (FRA);
- winner of the 5* Grand Prix of Oslo (NOR);
- winner of the Grand Prix of Vakenswaard (NED);
- the incredible ex aequo for VDL Edgar M (Arezzo) and Cartello VDL in the CSI5* 1.60m-Grand Prix in Madrid (ESP);
- third in CSI5* Grand Prix over 1.60m in St Tropez.
In Geneva yesterday there was also a great result for ten-year-old Baltic son
Leone Jei, who took home no less than €240,000. Leone Jei (Baltic x Corland) and Martin Fuchs (SUI) came narrowly second in the CSI5*-1.60m Grand Prix of Geneva. With a fast clear round in the jump-off, the breeding product of G.M. van Mersbergen of Udenhout (NED) delivered another top performance. Last year, the total prize money Leone Jei brought in was no less than €890,167; in 2021, the counter remained at €450,400.

Glamour Girl (Zirocco Blue x Caletto I), bred by Stoeterij Gaesbeek (BEL), with Henrick von Eckermann (SWE) in the saddle, finished second in the CSI5* over 1.55m in Geneva.
Earlier this month, 11-year-old Glamour Girl won over €50,000 in prize money in one weekend in La Coruña (ESP), where she won the CSI5*-W over 1.50m and came second once.

Catch me Not S (Cardento x Ramiro's Son I) and Peter Fredericson (SWE) finished a fine third in the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final in Geneva. This fine ranking earned the successful combination €76,175 in prize money, bringing the total of prizes won to the sweet sum of €1,182,068, the bulk of which was jumped together in 2021 and 2022. Catch me Not S was bred by Krister Svedberg (SWE).
