Wingman VDL was crowned National Foal Champion of the jumping foals yesterday in Ermelo during the National Foal Championship. The impressive colt, by Mattias out of Concona (Conthargos), received the highest marks from the jury and impressed with his development, blood and athletic model. Wingman VDL was bred by VDL Stud and Ben Maher out of Ben Maher’s 1.60m mare Concona. 

A fantastic third place went to Win Winchidee DN, a daughter of Grand Slam VDL out of Chinchidee (Chin Chin). She was bred by D. Noordhuis from Beilen. The jury praised her development, appealing front and balanced, uphill canter.

VDL sires were strongly represented throughout the final, with four more foals making the top ten:
