VDL Stallions had a good start in the first round of the KWPN Stallioncompetition in Hengelo. In the class for the 4-years old jumphorses was a 5th place for Ultimate VDL (Indoctro x Landgraf 1), ridden by Robert Vos, and a 11th place for VDL Harley (Heartbraker x Carthago), ridden by Don Sas.

Tenerife VDL (Raphael x Ahorn), ridden by Jur Vrieling, competed in the class of the 5-years old stallions. He was clear in the first round and in the jump-off he had a fast time but unfortunately he had one down, this resulted in a 10th place for Tenerife VDL.

VDL Silverstone, VDL Sydney, VDL Empire and VDL Sarantos competed in the class for the 6-years and older stallions. VDL Silverstone (Champion du Lys x Carthago) and VDL Sydney (Goodtimes x Alasca) didn't make it to the jump-off this time but the two sons of VDL Emilion did. VDL Empire (Emilion x Lord Calando), ridden by Robert Vos, had the fastest time in the jump-off but didn't stay clear, this resulted in a 5th place. VDL Sarantos (Emilion x Larome), ridden by Gert Jan Bruggink, was also very fast but had one down and with this result he became 3rd.
