Changes in stallioncollection of the VDL Stud

Recently there have been some changes in the stallion collection of the VDL Stud.

The VDL Stud bought the stallion Quasimodo van de Molendreef from Jan Greve. Next season the 19 years old son of Heartbreaker will be available for breeding at the VDL Stud. Also frozen semen is available. Quasimodo van de Molendreef jumped at the highest level with Jaime Azcarraga, due to an injury he had to finish his jumping career to early. He is a full brother of the famous Grand Prix jumper Action Breaker. He has been successful as a breedingstallion, several offspring compete at the highest level. This year 2 of his offspring competed at the Olympics in London. These were Hello Sanctos, who won with his rider Scott Brash the Team Gold Medal and Comte d’Arsouilles, ridden by Alexander Onischenko.

VDL Sheraton , the 13 years old son of Indoctro, is rented to Sweden. Sheraton has been before in Sweden for breeding. He has brought several good offspring in Sweden so there was many request for Sheraton in Sweden and they would like to have him back for their breeding program.
The VDL Stud sold the stallions Odermus R and Brugal VDL abroad

Odermus R is sold to the United Kingdom to the The Stallion Company of Mr. Ken Rehill, where he will be used for breeding.

The NRPS and SBS-approved stallion Brugal VDL is through the intermediary of Egbert Schep and Alan Waldman sold to America. The stallion goes to the Windsor Stables of Christine and John mc Crae. They will compete with the stallion in sport. Brugal VDL was this summer very succesfull with our rider James Billington during the Nationals and World Championships for 6 year old horses.
