Norwegian rider Johan-Sebastian Gulliksen rode the impressive Equine America Harwich VDL (by Arezzo) to a magnificent third place. The pair remained clear twice and clocked a fast time of 41.93 seconds in the jump-off, good for a handsome prize of €37,500. Harwich VDL is a breeding product of VDL Stud.
Geir Gulliksen also delivered a strong performance with the Zirocco Blue son Island V G, also twice clear with a time of 43.64 seconds, good for fifth place and €17,500 in prize money. Island V G was bred by J. van Gestel.
Oda Charlotte Lyngvaer also recorded a respectable ninth place with Carabella vd Neyen Z (by Carrera), bred by Yves Claes.
Finally, Gaëtan Joliat rode the Falaise de Muze offspring Just Special VK, bred by Stoeterij Van Kleef, to tenth place in this strong field of competitors.
With four VDL offspring in the top ten of this World Cup qualifier, VDL Stud once again underlines the global influence of its breeding in international show jumping.
