Descendants of Zirocco Blue and Carrera took victories in the Grand Prix of CSI de Wolden last weekend.
The 1* Grand Prix was won by our own mare Lena VDL (Carrera x Mr. Blue), ridden by Luke Hill. And in 4th place came Kelton VDL (Bubalu x Corland), ridden by Alex David Gill. Both horses jumped clear both in the basic course and in the jump-off.
The 2* Grand Prix was won by Just Blue (Zirocco Blue x Ferro), ridden by Daan van Geel. Just Blue was bred by the fam. Grol and is closely related to our approved stallion Maximus VDL. Just Blue is a brother of Maximus his mother.
Several young stallions competed in De Wolden and did very well. In the final of the 5-yr. showjumpers there was a 4th place for Sambucci de Muze VDL (by Hunter's Scendro) and Luke Hill. The stallion ran clear every day and so also in the jump-off of the final in which he rode a super nice round.
McAllister VDL (by Inaico VDL) placed 4th in the final of the 6-year-olds with Wesley de Boer. McAllister also jumped clear every day and achieved this good classification under the 17-year-old Young Rider.
Pommerol de Muze (by Emerald) also jumped clear all rounds under Alex David Gill and was placed twice, once 4th and once 9th. The 8 yr. stallion now jumps at 1.40m level.
For Friendship (by For Pleasure) was clear twice in 1.35m classes with Marcel de Boer.
Norton VDL (v. Baltic), ridden by Tibo Hendrickx jumped two clear rounds at the 5yr. and was once 7th and once 11th. Zirocco Blue son Nyrocco also scored two clear rounds in the 5-year class with rider Suzanne Tepper.
Dialinde (Cardento x Caruso) won a 1.25m class against the clock with rider Maree Jansen.
