PARIS - Grand Slam VDL (Cardento 'Elite' x Heartbreaker) and Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) went fantastically clear twice at the CSI5* tournament in Paris (FRA). They finished tenth in the 1.60m Grand Prix and ninth in the 1.50m. Grand Slam completed the jump-off in the Grand Prix in the fast time of 33.75 seconds, but here the stallion unfortunately had one unlucky fault.
During the stallion show on 1 April at VDL Stud, Grand Slam VDL will also make an appearance.
With the 10-year-old Iliana (Cardento x Gentleman, breeder: J.A.M. Bocken (NED)), Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) claimed victory in the CSI5* 1.50m, against the clock.
Ten-year-old Heureuse Nouvelle WH (VDL Cardento x Indoctro) and Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) finished fantastic fifth in the CSI5* competition over 1.55m. In the 1.45m they finished fourth. Heureuse Nouvelle WH was bred by Joke Slechter (NED).
Paris thus became a fine podium for Grand Slam VDL and his half-sisters Iliana and Heureuse Nouvelle WH, all three of whom have Cardento 'Elite' as sire.
