Italy hosted the Grand Prix of Ornago. In this, Captain Morgan Weering Z (by Carrera) claimed the victory with Giulia Martinengo Marquet. The Carrera son, bred by R. Lanting, is out of the mare Gavanta Weering (by Arezzo). 

In the Grand Prix prize draw, there was also a nice fifth place for the Carrera son Kallmar. He managed to finish clear in the top 10 all weekend with Roberto Previtali. Kallmar was bred by H.B. Dirksen & M.A. Hijlkema out of the ‘Elite, Sport’ mare Geluk-Olaris (by Indorado).
