Night Life wins Medium Tour final CSI Ermelo

At the international show in Ermelo, Night Life, ridden by Luke Hill, convincingly won the Medium Tour final at CSI2* level. In a clear-round jump-off, the pair clocked a fast time of 50.49 seconds, securing victory and nearly €2,000 in prize money. Night Life is a son of Erco van ’t Roosakker and was bred by VDL Stud.

VDL Stud also made its mark in the same class with a sixth-place finish for Jucatan VDL (by Carrera), ridden by Evi Wiefferink. This pair also remained double clear and finished in 58.25 seconds.

Rider Hill’s strong form was not limited to this victory. A day later, he guided Sambucci de Muze to fifth place in the Small Tour (1.35m), whilst he had previously secured fourth place with Landino in the CSI1* Grand Prix over the same height. Sambucci de Muze was bred by Joris de Brabander and Landino was bred by VDL Stud.

In the demanding CSI2* Grand Prix (1.45m), Joss D, a son of Bubalu, achieved a creditable sixth place with Berber Dijkman after a clear-round in the first round and one fault in the jump-off. The Bubalu daughter is bred by H.K. van Doorn.

With these results, VDL once again underlines its strong presence at international level, with several horses and riders making their mark during the competition in Ermelo.
