At the Mare show in Groningen, the offspring of VDL stallions were supreme. 4 of the 5 mares in the 3 years old championclass were offspring of VDL stallions. Among them, Picobella (by Comthago) of M. & E. Jongeling became the champion. Reserve champion was the daughter of Hardrock x Indoctro Parusa, bred by A. van Ittersum. All mares of the champion selection received an invitation to the National Show, further were allowed to stand for the award ceremony:
- 3rd Persinaa (Kobalt x Indoctro) bred by S. van der Meer
- 4th Paulien (Grand Slam x Corland) bred by W.J. Riedstra.
The champion selection of 4 to 7-year-olds consisted all offspring of VDL stallions. Misolde (Falaise de Muze x Indoctro) bred by J.F. Abbring and W.J. Riedstra became the champion. Reserve champion was the Cohinoor x Emilion daughter Odine bred by A. Barenkamp. Finally, Melena (by Dakar x Emilion), bred by J.F. Abbring, competed in the champion selection for 4-7 year-old mares.
