EXLOO - Storlande Gun (Harley VDL X Cavalier), bred by N.S.J. van de Gun from Spier (NED), galloped to absolute victory at the foal show in Exloo.
"We found the Harley-son the most complete. A strongly built foal with an appealing front, long-lined and with a good topline. He has an easy canter with space in which he can switch easily," said the jury.
Successful breeder Van de Gun's dam Torlande is in foal to Hardrock Z this year.
In third place came filly Sunchidee (New Pleasure VDL x Thunder van de Zuuthoeve) from breeder Derk Noordhuis from Wijster.
"An appealing filly with a beautiful front and a chic head. The upper line is strong and she canters very easily with a good balance and can switch easily," said the jury.
Both foals received an invitation for the national foal championship.
