Trigon Auctions with another 100% sales rate

Last night, Wednesday 19 August the 15 foals of Trigon Foal Auction Group 2 came under the digital hammer. Just like in the first group, the team around Stal Tops, VDL Stud and Frederik De Backer were rewarded with a 100% sales rate, selling all 15 foals around the globe.

“We didn’t take the easy road this time, by selecting foals of younger stallions, but a good foal is a good foal. It’s great to see that our clients have followed the judgement of our team. I think this is an important signal for many breeders that young stallions can do well in auctions when they are backed by strong damlines” explains Janko van de Lageweg.

“A turnover of more than €160.000, an average of just under €11.000 and all foals finding new owners is once again a great result. It implies that 15 buyers and breeders will enter the Buyers and Breeders Premium, worth 20.000€ every year. We can’t wait for them to start showing on the international circuit” add Frederik De Backer to last night’s result.

The filly Pavlova by Verdi TN out of the international performing Diangella, a grand-daughter of the legendary Pialotta, made the highest price, selling for €18.000 to Belgian bidder who made his first-ever investment on an auction. Ulrik van’t Merelsnest, by Emerald out of the family of Sapphire and VDL Glasgow sells for €17.000 to Ireland. The United States invested in Dimino Eurohill Z, a colt by Dominator 2000 Z out of a sister of BCM Simon of Jeroen Dubbeldam and Beezie Madden. The youngster made €16.500.
Just 3 of the 15 foals will stay in the Netherlands, 12 have found buyers abroad.

“We have got 3 weeks of international sport coming up at the Tops International Arena which can act as a great platform to bring breeders and buyers together. As we speak the teams is already finalizing the next collections of top-class foals” a spokesperson of Stal Tops says about the future Trigon Auctions. “These are exciting times for everyone involved in the development of Trigon Auctions.”
