At the Central Foal Show in Gelderland, two VDL offspring managed to qualify for the National Foal Show. Ultrastrade SB (by New Pleasure) was chosen as champion, commenting: "This is a young but well-developed and appealing filly with a nice forehand. She canters in a light-footed manner and in good posture. She excels in suppleness and body use, both in trot and canter". She is bred by Stal Borst.
Third place also went to a VDL offspring, namely U-Coberlina DG (by Night Life). The daughter of Night Life is a well-developed filly with plenty of blood expression and a muscular neck. She moves light-footed and her canter shows good carrying. In addition, she can change remarkably easily. Bred by D. Gilbers - Houwers.
