In an exciting second round, the nine-year-old VDL Quizano from 't Merelsnest showed his talent under the saddle of Laura Klaphake (GER). The duo achieved a fine 11th place in the 1.60m Grand Prix. Earlier, the Diamant de Semilly son, bred by Stoeterij van 't Merelsnest, had already finished third in the 1.55m. His performance under Klaphake confirms the expectations surrounding this young talent, who is still developing but is already showing his qualities at international level.
Ninth place went to BBS McGregor (by Cardento), ridden by Abdullah Mohd Al Marri (UAE). The thirteen-year-old Cardento son is bred by Marguerite Ryan.
With strong performances from both the experienced McGregor and the promising young VDL Quizano van 't Merelsnest, it was a competition that emphasised both quality and future prospects in the sport.
