During the CSI2* 1.45m Grand Prix in Riesenbeck (GER), two horses with strong VDL bloodlines stood at the top of the podium. With minimal differences in the jump-off, they once again proved the strength and versatility of the VDL lines at international level.
Under Laura Klaphake (GER), VDL Quizano van 't Merelsnest (Diamant de Semilly) jumped a double clear round in a winning time of 39.01 seconds. Komboy (by Carrera VDL) with Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski (POL) followed by only fractions of a hundredth. This combination also remained clear in both rounds and clocked 39.05 seconds, good for a strong 2nd place. Quizano was bred by Stoeterij Merelsnest and Komboy by the Ruitenberg family.
