Sire Oriënt Express shone at the World Equestrian Games, winning two silver medals with Patrice Delaveau. Oriënt Express also won the World Cup of Helsinki and the Grand Prix’s of Rotterdam, La Baule, Gijon, Falsterbo and Liege. Global Express’ grand sire is the famous thoroughbred Laudanum xx, an international show jumper who has had a huge influence on the French breeding of show jumpers.
Global Express is bred from one of France’s finest dam lines. His mother is the top broodmare Dame Ricard, also dam of the acknowledged talent Street Hassle, who jumps 1.50m with Lauren Hough. Therefore, Dame Ricard is mother of Grand Prix show jumpers Iqbal des Hayettes and Ornello and the grand dam to the very successful Grand Prix jumper Lindberg des Hayettes. Grand dam Fidelite A jumped at Grand Prix level and was also very successful as a broodmare. She is the dam of the Selle Français approved stallion Versailles and grand dam to the Grand Prix jumper Olala de Buissy and several international show jumpers, such as Marquise du Reverdy, Lydric du Reverdy, Lynx du Reverdy, Othello de Petra, Lucie de Reverdy etc.
Global Express passed his KWPN Stallion Test with high marks. He received a total score of 76.5 points with an 8 for canter, rideability and attitude.
Global Express has a positive mind-set and intelligence, a lot of blood and a great amount of scope.
Global Express performed superbly under Lennard de Boer. The stallion was honored as Dutch Champion of the 5-year-old jumpers and as a 6 year old he placed 7th in the finals of the Dutch Championship. Following that he became provincial Champion of the 1.30m class. Global Express continued to collect winner’s ribbons becoming reserve champion of the KWPN stallion competition in 2016, 2017 and 2018. In several competitions he led the honor rounds, for example, as a 5 year old he won the classes at Peelbergen and Zuidbroek. And last year, as a 6 year old, he won the competitions at Ermelo and Zuidbroek.
Global Express’ first foals are well developed with top movement. They have an impressive gallop with much suppleness, power and stride. Miracle was Champion of the foal show in Tolbert and Milano became reserve champion of the jumping-bred foals at the CK Noord-Brabant. Luciano was Champion of the foal show in Harich and was invited for the National Foal Championship in 2016.
Out of his first crop two sons were approved by the Westfaler Verband, both belonging to the ‘Best Jumpers’ at those approvals. At the KWPN stallion approvals one son was selected for the KWPN stallion test.
