The promising Rock Kattenheye VDL earned high praise during his KWPN performance test for his excellent temperament, light-footed canter, quick reflexes, use of the body and hind-end technique. The first foals of this talented four-year-old stallion will be born in 2025.

His sire, Kasanova de la Pomme, has proven his qualities at the highest level under Koen Vereecke, claiming multiple Nations Cup victories and Grand Prix titles. They have also won the Sires of the World competition in 2022. Kasanova’s early offspring, such as H5 Origi Horta and Pommery van het IJzeren Lindehof, are already performing on international 1.50/1.60m-level. Rock Kattenheye’s damline has left a lasting impact as well. His dam, Athena vd Donkhoeve, has proven her value as the dam of -so far- three international showjumpers, including the 1.50m-level competitor Hey Jude. Athena vd Donkhoeve brings in the genes of influential sire Mr.Blue and is a sibling to the international performing VDL Fakir, who competed in 5* Grand Prix’s and Nations Cups with Ales Opatrny. Rock Kattenheye VDL shares the same granddam as the 1.60m-level performers Ovidius vd Donkhoeve and Utopia van de Donkhoeve. Additionally, the top-level performers Allegro van de Donkhoeve, Farao of Heritage and Belano vd Wijnhoeve Z also trace back to the granddam Famona.
