VDL Sydney (Goodtimes x Alasca) has won the 'Young Stallion' competition at the International Horse Show of Zwolle. With rider Marcel de Boer VDL Sydney received the 9th place in the first round of this competition on Wednesday. The final on Thursday existed out of two rounds and a jump-off. VDL Sydney was 2 times clear and by riding a sensational jump-off VDL Sydney won the title 'Young Stallion 2005'.

VDL Empire (Emilion x Lord Calando) was also close to win the title. On Wednesday he became 7th and in the final VDL Empire made it to the jump-off. Unfortunately he made two faults in the jump-off and this resulted in a 6th place for VDL Empire and his rider Robert Vos. The winner of Wednesday, VDL Sarantos (Emilion x Larome) and rider Jur Vrieling, didn''t make it to the jump-off and became the 9th place.
