Comthago VDL made a strong start to the indoor season last weekend at the international show in Oslo. Ridden by Hessel Hoekstra, the stallion jumped to a fantastic second place in the 1.45m Grand Prix. Comthago VDL remained clear in both the first round and the jump-off, stopping the clock at a fast 39.99 seconds. Victory in this class went to Chupa Chups AR (Corporal VDL x Cortus) and Lydia Lindén, who also remained double clear and finished in 38.98 seconds. Chupa Chups AR was bred by Ale Ridsport.

In the 1.55m Rikstoto Grand Prix, Novacific Eickenrode (Baltic VDL x Indorado) achieved a nice 10th place under Hessel Hoekstra. A great result for our mare in her debut at 1.55m level. Novacific Eickenrode was bred by Joh. van der Waaij from Eemnes.

There were also some great results for VDL horses and offspring of VDL stallions on Saturday. In the CSI5-W Agria Trophy over 1.45m*, victory went to Parvati AEG (Arezzo VDL x Darco), bred by Stal Aegten, under Francis Derwin. Glamour Girl (Zirocco Blue VDL x Caletto I) and Henrik von Eckermann finished in third place. Glamour Girl was bred by Stoeterij Gaesbeek. Our stallion VDL Mindset ES also competed in the same class under Hessel Hoekstra and finished in a strong ninth place.
