Last weekend, the international show jumping tour in Oliva was once again dominated by strong performances from VDL offspring. Both Bojangles (by Brantzau) and Lilesta GE (by Arezzo) secured convincing victories in their respective classes.
Bojangles wins twice in the Silver Tour
The Holsteiner gelding Bojangles, a promising son of Brantzau VDL, was in top form under Belgian rider Mike van Olst. On 16 January 2026, the combination won the 1.30m class with a lightning-fast clear round in 27.97 seconds.
A day later, on 17 January, Bojangles and Van Olst repeated this success in the direct time class. With another clear round and a time of 60.27 seconds, they secured their second consecutive victory. The talented gelding was bred by Anika Schmidt from Strukum (GER).
Lilesta GE (Arezzo VDL) wins Gold 4 GP Qualifier
In the more difficult CSI2* Gold Tour, it was the KWPN mare Lilesta GE, a daughter of Arezzo VDL, who left the competition behind. Under Brazilian rider João Victor Castro Aguiar Gomes de Lima, she jumped to victory in the 1.45m Grand Prix Qualifier with a clear round in 66.92 seconds.
Lilesta GE was bred by Th.H. Gelink from Lievelde (NED).
