A fantastic day for the offspring of our stallions in Lier, Belgium, where we dominated the entire podium.
The victory went to Opaline de W&S (Etoulon x Zirocco Blue), ridden by Petronella Andersson. This 10-year-old mare was bred by the Wens Stud in Belgium. Our own 8-year-old Quizano VDL (Diamant de Semilly x Kannan, bred by Stoeterij Merelsnest) once again jumped brilliantly under Laura Klaphake, securing a strong second place. The third podium spot was taken by Ilyphso (Zirocco Blue x Ircolano), bred by N. Santvoort from Nuland and ridden by Vic de Plecker.
In addition, Jignipes Eickenrode was in excellent form in Lier, claiming no less than three victories. He won two 1.35m classes and the 1.40m final on Sunday. This 10-year-old gelding, ridden by Dennis van den Brink, was bred by J. van der Waaij from Eemnes.
