A fifth place for Iwan (by Glasgow van ‘t Merelsnest) in Vancouver

Iwan (by Glasgow van ‘t Merelsnest) takes fifth place in the Vancouver Grand Prix. The Glasgow son managed to finish a fine fifth in the 1.45m on Saturday. Glasgow, bred by J. Wisse Reijnierse, also managed to score a nice third place with Charlie Jones earlier in the week. The top three in that class consisted entirely of VDL offspring. In second place was CSF Princess Blue (by Zirocco Blue) with Chad Bretton. The Zirocco Blue daughter is bred in Ireland by Bridget Connolly. The victory went to LFS Etoile (by Etoulon) with Jacqueline Colborne, bred by Michael Chawke.

There was more success in America, as Levi Noesar (by Zirocco Blue) became first in the 1.45m in North Salem. The only 8-year-old Zirocco Blue son is ridden by Richard Vogel and bred by Jur Vrieling. On Saturday, James Bond HX (by Douglas) proved to be in shape and finished in a nice second place with Samantha Schaefer. The Douglas son is bred by Hendrix Stables and has already won more than €140,000 in prize money.
