Hortensia van de Leeuwerk (by Corland) wins Grand Prix 5* at Mexico

In the Mexican Coapexpan, Hortensia van de Leeuwerk (by Corland) and Manuel Gonzalez Dufrane won the Grand Prix. They were the only ones who managed to stay clear in the first round and in the jump-off. With that result for the Corland daughter bred by Ronald Joosen she earned the victory. During the award ceremony, there was also a fourth place for Gigi Carmen (by Bacardi) and John Perez Bohm. The Bacardi daughter is bred by M.C.J.M. Burgers and has already earned over €300,000 prize money. 

In addition, last Sunday Joebon Blue (by Zirocco Blue) and Richard Vogel won the 5* 1.45m. The duo managed to stay clear in both phases and set the fastest time. The Zirocco Blue son now has 19 victories to his name and is bred by W. Vos & A. Blom.

Hankrock W (by Carrera), bred by J.E. & S. Wolters, finished second in the 1.35m class at Coapexpan. The son of Carrera is ridden by Nicolas Pizarro Suarez Martinez. Later that weekend they also managed a nice fourth place in the 1.40m. 

There was even more success in the 1.35m class, so became the Kannan son Bakogan de St Jean and Manuel Antonio Fernandeze Hache third. The Kannan offspring stayed clear and is bred by Fabien Marie. Jallas K (by Dallas) and Alfonso Gutierrez Diaz also managed to finish fifth in this class. The nine-year-old son of Dallas is bred by R. Krul.

There was also a nice fifth place for Kentucky N (by Carrera) and Lucas Porter in the 2* 1.45m Grand Prix. Only five combinations stayed clear in the jump-off, including the Carrera son. He is bred by H. Reinders and has now been ridden by Lucas Porter for several years.
