Last Saturday was the final day of the international show IICH Groningen at Martiniplaza. In the 2* 1.40m final, VDL Legodermus PP (by Harley) managed to qualify for the jump-off with Hessel Hoekstra. With no 13 jump-off competitors, the competition was fierce. They were the first combination to start in the jump-off, the Harley son and Hessel were super fast and clear jump-off. Nobody managed to be faster and the VDL Stud-bred Harley son was allowed to be first in the prize-giving ceremony.
At the prize-giving ceremony, almost the entire top five consisted of VDL offspring. There was a nice second place for Carrera daughter Jewel. They also stayed clear in the jump-off and set a nice time. Jewel (by Carrera) is bred by A.P.L. Touw and is ridden by Laurie Touw. Fourth place went to the G. Drain-bred Shanroe (by Dallas) and Hung-Shen Chen. And fifth place went to the J. Veldman-bred Kylie VJ (by Freeman) and Kevin Jochems.
On Friday, victory in the 1* 1.20m went to Jignipes Eickenrode (by Zirocco Blue) . The Zirocco Blue son is ridden by Dennis van den brink and bred by J. van der Waaij. On Saturday, they also managed to secure third place in the 1* 1.30m class. There was also success in the 1* 1.20m for Iralinde Tarpania (by Glasgow van 't Merelsnest) with Iris Hakvoort. They managed to secure a great second place on Saturday. Earlier in the week, they also managed to finish third on Thursday. The Glasgow van 't Merelnest daughter is bred by A.P.G. de Lange.
Finally, on Saturday, PMF/2Join Hartford (by Carrera) won the third place with Suzanne Tepper. With 14 jump-off candidates, the competition was fierce but the duo once again managed a clear round in a time of 26.09 seconds. The Carrera son is bred by D. Tolner.
